Cannacon Recap

Updated: Aug 28, 2020

This past Friday and Saturday, one year after the vastly successful CannaCon Boston 2017, hundreds of cannabis entrepreneurs and enthusiasts convened at the Hynes Convention Center once more this year. The event was packed with informative seminars and interactive booths where people could discuss business strategies for the future marijuana industry and exhibit a multitude of innovative products, ranging from edibles to growing lamps.

Both Day 1 (July 27th) and Day 2 (July 28th) yielded thousands of attendees, including our founder Jim Boynton and our underwriting expert Art Catapang. “Flav’s (FlavInc.com) booth was a social hub for many attendees, there were always people there. We got to meet a lot of different business people looking to coordinate clients with insurance brokers, and overall had a great time.”

Jim, who attended both days, spoke high praises about the ‘Evolving Landscapes in Cannabis and Hemp Law” seminar. “Based off of the information of that seminar, there was a general confidence towards a wider spread of the legalization of marijuana,” Jim says. He also articulates that Budrisk is looking to partner with law firms in the future.

CannaCon has proved to us (both from news sources and first hand-experience) that the cannabis industry is expanding rapidly at Massachusetts, and will soon be a major industry.
